THIRD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF 10-12 May 2010 The idea of holding the International Conference on Design and Analysis of Protective Structures against Impact/Impulsive/Shock Loads was conceived in 2003 by the three founding institutes of the conference series, namely, National Defense Academy, Japan, Pennsylvania State University, USA and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The first conference was organized by the National Defense Academy, Japan and was held in Tokyo, Japan, on 15-19 December, 2003 at the Hotel Grand Hill Ichigaya. The theme of the first conference was "State-of-the-art in Protective Technology for Structure Construction". The second conference organized by the Defence Science & Technology Agency, Singapore and the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore was held in Singapore on 13-15 November 2006 at the Shangri-La Hotel. The theme of the second conference was "Advances in Protective Technology". The organizing committee takes great pleasure in inviting you to the Third International Conference on Design and Analysis of Protective Structures (DAPS2010), which will be held in Novotel Clarke Quay, Singapore, on 10-12 May, 2010. This conference is co-organized by the Defence Science & Technology Agency, Singapore and the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. This conference has been accredited by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore (PEB) for eighteen (18) Professional Development Units (PDU).
