Admission Requirements

The applicant must have have at least Second Class Honours, Lower Division or Honours (Merit) Bachelor's degree in shipping, business or equivalent or related discipline and must be a graduate of this University or such graduate of another university as the Academic Board may approve. They should preferably have a minimum of two years of relevant working experience after obtaining their first degree.

Applicants with advanced training with Certificate of Competency (Class 1) recognized by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore are also eligible to apply.

The above guidelines indicate the eligibility to apply the MSc programme. Admission to the programme is on a competitive basis.

*All NTU first degree students graduating from January 2018 onwards will be awarded degrees according to the new classification nomenclature, regardless of their intake year. Please click on the link (Point 5) below for the new nomenclature:-

For applicants whose native language is not English, a good Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score is required. Test dates must be within 2 years or less from the date of your application. IELTS may be submitted in place of TOEFL.​

How to apply

There is only one intake (August) per year. The application period is from January to end February.
