Centre for Infrastructure Systems
The Centre for Infrastructure Systems (CIS) was established within the School on 1 June 2006. It is merger of the Centre for Advanced Construction Studies (CACS), Centre for Transportation Studies (CTS) and Geotechnical Research Centre (GRC).
The aim of the merger is to allow a wide range of expertise in infrastructure development to be available within one Centre as well as to achieve synergies among the various specialized fields.

Nanyang Centre for Underground Space
Nanyang Centre for Underground Space (NCUS) was established in December 2011. The vision for NCUS is to scientifically lead Singapore’s deep underground development efforts enabling the nation to plan the use of its key resources (space, materials and environment) effectively in 3 dimensions. This presents a major innovation challenge that has not yet been fully achieved in other world cities.

NTU-JTC Industrial Infrastructure Innovation Centre
With the objective to promote growth and development of economically viable and sustainable industrial infrastructure solutions in Singapore, the NTU-JTC I3 Centre is set out to expand Singapore’s research and development scope in diverse fields such as land reclamation and specialised marine infrastructure, energy and water recycling, underground infrastructure design and construction, and novel construction methods and systems.

Maritime Research Centre (MRC) is dedicated to the research and development of port and maritime technology. Established jointly by MPA and NTU, it serves to coordinate research and development effort among various local and international organizations.
