Learning Objective :

The objectives of this subject are to introduce basic concepts in logistics with a special emphasis on maritime shipping, and to equip students with a broad and comprehensive understanding of its role in the efficient operations of logistics.

Learning Outcome :

Upon completion of the course, students should be able to apply concepts learned in the subject to perform strategic analysis of key logistics activities. They will be able to appreciate the complexities and interrelationships of various components in a supply chain and how they impact the shipping activities. They will also be able to gain knowledge on the operations of logistics service providers of shipping companies and the latest trends in shipping logistics.
