12m Water-Sediment Flume



The 12m flume is designed to study open channel flows and local scour phenomenon. The test section of the flume is 12 m long, 0.3m wide and 0.45m deep. The discharge capacity of the attached pumps to the flume are: 18 L/s and 40 L/s for the two water pumps and 8 L/s for sediment pump. The flow rate can be measured using magnetic flow meters in the supply pipelines.

 

19m 2-Stage Flume



 

The 19m 2-stage flume is designed to study 2-stage open channel flows. The test section is 19 m long, 1.6 m wide with two depths, 0.6 m and 0.75 m deep, respectively. The discharge capacity of the pump connected to the flume is 250 L/s. The flow rate is measured using a magnetic flow meter in the suppy pipeline.

 

8M Flume-1



 

The 8m water flume is designed to study open channel flows and local scour phenomenon. The test section is 8 m long, 0.3 m wide and 0.6 m deep. The discharge capacity of the pump connected to the flume is 6 L/s. The flume is equiped with flow meter for flow rate and point gauge for depth measurements.

Sediment Transport Flume





 

The Sediment Transport flume is designed to study open channel flows. The test section of the flume is 14 m long, 0.6 m wide and 0.6 m deep. The discharge rate of the attached pumps to the flume are: 300 L/s for water pump and 16 l/s for sediment pump.

 

Flume, 30-metre



 

 

The 30 m water flume is designed to study open channel flows. The test section of the flume is 30 m long, 0.7 m wide with 0.6 m deep. The discharge rate of the attached water pump to the flume is 200 l/s. The pump is attached with magnetic flow meter.

 

4m Jet-Scour Tank



 

The 4m Jet Scour Tank is designed to study local scour phenomenon caused by water and propeller jets. The tank is 4m long, 1.8m wide and 1m deep. The discharge capacity of the pump 50 L/s. The tank is equiped with 2 motors with various sizes of propeller, magnetic flow meter and point gauge.

 

3.8m Jet-Scour Tank



 

The 3.8m Jet-Scour Tank is designed to study local scour phenomenon caused by water jets. The upstream incoming flow section is 2m long, 0.3m wide and 0.3m deep. It is connected to a sediment-filled test section which is 1.8 m long, 1 m wide with 0.6 m deep. The discharge capacity of the attached water pump is 6 L/s. The tank is equiped with magnetic flow meter and point gauge.
